Welcome to Creative Spark Designs! I am so happy that you chose to visit my shop today! I have been selling my creations in boutiques and at local festivals for a couple of years, but I began my Etsy adventure in 2014 to share my love of 2 things with the world: crafts and foster care! Sounds a little weird, I know, but my very first Etsy item was the Personalized Foster Care Family Creed. After searching the internet for a gift for the families in my Foster Parent group, I realized there was nothing to celebrate them. I created the Foster Family Creed as a way to honor the love and dedication that my fellow foster parents have for the children in their care. It was so well loved and asked about, that I decided to offer them on Etsy for other foster families to enjoy. From that first listing, my shop has grown to what it is today.
Located in beautiful Winston-Salem, North Carolina, my workspace is a conglomeration of different crafting materials and tools. I keep a journal in my purse that I use to sketch out new ideas wherever they strike. (Maybe one day I’ll get to make them all.) My daughters are my primary source of inspiration— if they love it, I know I’ve done something right!
I love to create SVG images and projects! Like myself, many people like a good DIY project. I consider myself a “facilitator” in creating a place where others can find the inspiration and tools to make amazing creations of their own. That’s why I’m so excited about my SVG project collections— they give you the tools and instructions you need to create a wonderful piece, with the freedom to make it uniquely your own.
I love literature. If I'm not crafting, I'm probably reading. I think the written words is an art form all its own, and I love to incorporate it into my art.
I find silhouettes fascinating! Taking an image that is meant to be represented in multiple colors and translating it into a single layer, while still maintaining its complexity... that's challenging and fun.
Canvas and vinyl are currently my favorite mediums. I love the versatility of vinyl and the endless opportunities a canvas panel presents.
While I don’t consider myself a crafting guru, I am always happy to help my customers with any questions or problems they have in their own DIY adventures. I want my customers to be as happy as a dog with two tails!
Thanks again for your interest in my shop! I hope my creations bring a smile to your face, put a song in your heart, and ignite that creative spark in us all! Please be so kind as to favorite my shop to keep up with all my newly added creations!
